Q. What Is The Return Policy?
A. You may return unused, resaleable merchandise within 30 days of the original purchase date for a full refund minus original shipping charges and s 20% restocking fee. Vehicle Programmers only accepts unused returns, complete with all components, in their original packaging.
Important notes to consider before requesting an RMA:
- Vehicle tuning doesn't always go as planned, and it is possible that the tuner will not install on the first try. Please try these options before returning the product. As an authorized dealer, we strongly suggest contacting the manufacturer to troubleshoot any issues before returning the part. Manufacturers:
- aFe Power , Airaid , Banks Power
- Bully Dog , DiabloSport , Edge
- H&S Performance , Hypertech , MADS Smarty
- S&B Filters , SCT Tuners , Superchips
- Parts that have been disassembled or damaged due to incorrect installation will not be credited.
- VehicleProgrammers.com is not responsible for incorrect installation by you and/or your mechanic.
- We are also not responsible for any expenses incurred or caused by the use of wrong or defective parts during installation.

Q. Can I Return A Part For Any Reason?
A. Vehicle Programmers will accept returns and exchanges within 30 days of the purchase date, and we do charge a 20% restocking fee. Be advised - product results, including mileage gains, are not guaranteed.
You'll need to complete a Return Authorization Number request, have the part in unused, resaleable condition, all components and the part returned in its original packaging.
Once you've received an approval email for your RMA, write the RMA number on the outside of the box and send. We always recommend insuring your package as VehicleProgrammers.com cannot be held responsible for lost returns.
Q. What Is The Exchange Policy?
A. Vehicle Programmers' exchange policy is just like our return policy. We accept returns and exchanges within 30 days of the purchase date, and we do charge a 20% restocking fee. You'll need to complete a Return Authorization Number request, have the part in unused, resaleable condition, all components and the part returned in its original packaging. Please start with an RMA request to initiate an exchange.
Q. How Do I Ship A Part Back To You?
A. First, review our return policy details above then request a Return Authorization Number using the form below. Once you receive the RMA, follow these steps:
- Put the resaleable part back in the original packaging and be sure to include any cables, hardware, manuals, or other parts that came with it.
- Pack the merchandise in a secure, outer box. Write the RMA number clearly on the box.
- Ship the part(s) back to us and obtain a tracking number from the carrier. We encourage you to purchase shipping insurance, as we are not responsible for returns that get lost or damaged in transit.
Q. You Sent Me The Wrong Part. What Do I Do?
A. If we sent you the wrong part, we're sorry. Please fill out the Return Authorization form. We will email you an RMA number along with a pre-paid shipping label for your return, and we'll get the correct part to you.
Q. I Ordered The Wrong Part. Now What?
A. It happens. Please start by filling out the RMA form. If you ordered the wrong part, we will email you an RMA number along with the address to return your item to. Please be advised there is a 20% restocking fee. If you have questions about fitment or other concerns, please email us at [email protected] before you purchase. We're happy to help.
Q. It's Been Longer Than 30 Days. Can I Still Return Or Exchange A Part?
A. Rarely. Please email us at [email protected] to discuss any unique circumstances you may have.
Q. Why Wouldn't I Be Able To Return Or Exchange A Part?
A. There are a few reasons we cannot accept a part:
- If you installed the parts or damaged them in any way.
- If you are requesting this past 30 days of the original purchase.
- If there is a broken electrical seal.
- If any pieces, parts, or packaging items are damaged or missing.
- If the serial number does not match the product you purchased here.
Q. Is There A Restocking Fee?
A. Yes. VehicleProgrammers.com does require a 20% restocking fee on refunds and exchanges to cover our expenses. If you aren't sure about a part, please contact us before you buy. We're here to help you get the right parts for your vehicle.
Q. What If The Part Is Defective Or Damaged?
A. If you receive a part that is defective right out of the box, please contact the manufacturer directly. Tuning doesn't always go as planned, and it is possible that the tuner will not install on the first try. Please make a reasonable attempt to fix the issue with the manufacturer. If the manufacturer determines the part faulty, a full refund will be given. If not, regular return and restocking fees apply.
If you receive a part that is damaged during shipping, please contact us. Keep the box and we'll try to help you file a claim with the carrier and discuss next steps.
Q. What If The Defective Part Was Professionally Installed?
A. Vehicle Programmers does not reimburse installation fees or labor charges under any circumstance. We are not responsible for incorrect installation by you and/or your mechanic. We are also not responsible for any expenses incurred or caused by the use of wrong or defective parts during installation.
Q. Who Covers The Cost Of Return Shipping?
A. Unless the manufacturer has deemed the part faulty, the customer is responsible for return shipping charges. We also recommend insuring your return package.
Q. When Will I Get My Refund?
A. It depends.
- If you have spoken with the manufacturer and are returning it on their suggestion, we'll have to send the product to them for inspection. This can take up to 30 days.
- If you are returning an item for any other reason, it takes approximately 10-12 business days to inspect returned items and process refunds. Remember, there is a 20% restocking fee and we do not reimburse shipping fees, so it will not be a 100% refund.
Q. How Long Do Returns Take To Process?
A. Typically, it takes us 10-12 business days to process returns.
Q. Someone Else Purchased The Part For Me. Can I Still Return Or Exchange It?
A. If you have the receipt, an exchange is easy to do. If you don't, it gets harder. Contact us to discuss it.
Q. How Do I Make A Warranty Claim And Return A Part?
A. VehicleProgrammers.com is an authorized dealer for all of the items we sell. As such, all of our products are covered by the full manufactures' warranties.
